Why this list is short, and why that is deliberate
There are lifecycle databases with thousands of part numbers in them. We are not trying to be one. Almost all of them are run by hardware resellers and third-party maintenance providers whose business is selling you a replacement box or a support contract — which is worth knowing when you read how urgent they say your situation is.
We track the 18 devices that actually turn up in Australian SMB racks, and we tell you three things nobody else does: how confident we are in each date, where it came from, and what it means under the two Essential Eight patching controls.
Where we have only checked a reseller tracker rather than the vendor bulletin, the entry says so. A date we would not stand behind is worse than no date at all.
Found yours on the list?
Knowing the date is the easy part. The harder question is what else is on the network — the rules nobody can explain, the tunnel to a supplier everyone forgot about, the switch carrying a whole floor with no redundancy. That is what the assessment is for: read-only, fixed price, and you keep the report either way.
Dates last reviewed 18 August 2026. We check each entry against the vendor's own end-of-life bulletin where one is available, and mark the confidence where it is not. Vendors publish separate bulletins for hardware, software and family variants, so confirm the exact part number before you budget or quote against any date here. Spotted something wrong?
